By downloading or using Liftoff (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Liftoff is

Liftoff provides spaceflight information — launch schedules, countdowns, news, rockets, and related imagery — for informational and entertainment purposes.

2. Accuracy of information

Launch dates and times change frequently, often at short notice, and spaceflight data is supplied by third parties. We do not guarantee that any information in the app (including times, statuses, AI‑generated summaries, or news) is accurate, complete, or current. Do not rely on Liftoff for any safety‑critical, professional, or time‑critical decision.

3. AI‑generated content

Some summaries are generated by AI and may contain errors or omissions. Treat them as informal explanations, not authoritative sources.

4. License

We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use Liftoff for your own personal, non‑commercial use, subject to these Terms and to the Apple Media Services / App Store Terms of Service.

5. Intellectual property

The Liftoff name, design, and original content are owned by us. Launch data, news, logos, and imagery are the property of their respective owners and providers (including The Space Devs, the Spaceflight News API, NASA, launch providers, and space agencies) and are shown for informational purposes. Liftoff is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NASA, SpaceX, or any launch provider or agency.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app or your reliance on its information.

8. Third‑party links and services

The app may link to third‑party websites and webcasts. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws rules.
